How do you love us? Let's count the ways
A best friend may not tell the whole truth and a child might "forget" essential details, but you can always count on numbers. According to a recent tally of Big Bowl best selling new menu items, Cashew Chicken rules the roost.
Since the new menu rollout earlier this summer, Cashew Chicken is preferred about 27 percent more than the second most popular dish, Steak and Noodles. But if you dine at the Edina restaurant in Minnesota, you prefer this chicken dish 50 percent more often.
Bangkok Shrimp and Scallops comes in at No. 3 overall but not for those who eat at the Edina and Lincolnshire, IL., locations. They would rather have the new seafood dish than Big Bowl's version of meat and potatoes.
While the delicately seasoned Ginger Chicken ranks as the fourth overall favorite new dish, diners in Reston, VA., ordered more often than the No. 3. Though Shanghai Shrimp and Scallops was edged out by Ginger Chicken, landing at No. 5, diners in Edina, Lincolnshire and those who frequent the restaurant on Ohio Street in Chicago prefer the seafood one.
In Schaumburg, IL., diners seem to like heat more, opting for Shanghai Shrimp and Scallops (fifth favorite) over the Ginger Chicken.
But what about all the other menu items?
Hands down, nothing holds a candle to the bright and robust flavors of Chicken Pad Thai - the overall most popular item at Big Bowl. It's followed closely by Orange Chicken and then Kung Pao Chicken and Panang chicken. So it's true - we love chicken, and at Big Bowl you can feel good about ours because it's all natural, raised sustainably and responsibly by our friends at FreeBird.

Would love to see the at-home recipe for panang chicken. It's the only thing I order at Big Bowl! :)
I would *love love love* an at-home recipe for the Panang Chicken Curry! I order it all the time and sadly will soon be moving to Wisconsin where there are few Big Bowls. Please open up shop in Madison or get me that recipe! Thanks!
We can still make the Flat Noodles at Big Bowl! The only reason that we took them off the menu was that they went down in popularity over time, but there are still enough people who ask for them that we like to keep the recipe handy.
Thanks!!
Bring back the Blazing Flat Noodles. Please!!
