Support Local, All Year Round
As we all know from watching the National Geographic Channel; during the winter months, farmers head into caves to hibernate, and wake up for the next growing season.
I don’t think so.
Following are a list of winter markets, featuring locally produced, meat, cheese, bakery, mushrooms, jellies and jams, pickled delights, and oftentimes local crafts and art. You don’t need to wait until the first asparagus breaks through in the spring. Please remember to check the sites for the times and dates, and for special events.

Thank you! There are many more of them, also. My favorite thing to get is fresh eggs--they are just incredibly delicious.
There's also a winter market in Leesburg, Virginia on Saturday mornings.
